Worth checking first
- The picture is taking a while to appear
- A transfer usually takes fifteen to twenty seconds on the Canvas Classic, and about half that on the Canvas Pro. It can take longer if your phone is in low power mode or the case is not sitting flat against it. Keep the phone against the case until it finishes.
- The picture looks softer than it did on screen
- That is the panel, and it is working. Colours stay the colours they were, but muted: saturation drops by roughly half, and there is no pure black and no pure white anywhere on it. Nothing is broken and nothing needs resetting.
- A faint trace of the last picture is still visible
- E-ink does that, and it clears. Changing the picture two or three times will settle it. It is covered in the warranty only if it does not.
- Charging
- MagSafe and wireless charging both work through the Canvas Pro, for iPhone 17 and on. The Canvas Classic, for iPhone 13 to 16, supports wireless charging but not MagSafe.
